Thank you for using MuscleMaxme (“MuscleMaxme,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service and uninstall the app from your device. By accessing or continuing to use the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old. The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to minors.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide or that is made available through sign-in
- Account and authentication: If you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we may process identifiers and account-related information associated with that method (for example, user identifiers provided by Apple or Google, and the email address you provide). The specific fields depend on the sign-in method you choose and what those providers share with us.
- Profile information (if you choose to provide it): Such as display name, fitness preferences, and non-medical training-related feedback.
- Communications: Messages you send to us through customer support or feedback channels (which may include health- or diet-related information you voluntarily share; such information is not a medical record).
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and diagnostic data: Such as device model, operating system version, language and region settings, app version, crash logs, and performance data, to maintain stability and security and to troubleshoot issues.
- Usage and analytics data: Such as feature clicks, screen views, session duration, content viewing and interactions, and high-level subscription status, to improve the product and personalize your experience where permitted by law.
1.3 Fitness video and content services
- To provide fitness videos and related content, we may process technical information related to playback (such as content identifiers, playback progress, or caching information) to deliver the experience and, where applicable, recommendations.
1.4 AI photo recognition for calories and nutrition (important)
- When you use AI photo recognition, photos of food you capture with the camera or select from your photo library may be uploaded to our servers and/or processed by AI or cloud service providers we engage to generate estimated calories and nutritional information.
- These features are for fitness and dietary management assistance only. They are not medical, nutritional, or therapeutic advice. Results may be inaccurate due to lighting, angle, portion size, occlusion, food similarity, model limitations, and other factors. Do not rely solely on these results for medical decisions.
- We process images only as needed to provide the feature. Unless we separately obtain your consent or provide a clear opt-out/opt-in control in the app, we will not use your photos for purposes unrelated to this feature (subject to in-app notices and system permission prompts).
1.5 Subscriptions and payments
- If you purchase a membership subscription, payment processing and the subscription relationship are primarily handled by the relevant payment platforms, such as Apple In-App Purchase on the App Store, PayPal, or other third-party payment providers. We may receive subscription status, transaction IDs, purchase time, product tier, and similar information.
- We do not collect or store your full payment card number through the Service; sensitive payment details are processed by Apple, PayPal, or other payment providers under their respective privacy policies.
2. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service, including account management, authentication, content delivery, AI recognition, and membership entitlements.
- Improve and protect the Service, including analytics, fraud prevention, risk controls, and security.
- Communicate with you, including important service notices (such as policy or security updates), and, where permitted, marketing communications (if offered, we will provide a way to opt out).
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.
We do not sell your personal information. We may use de-identified or aggregated data that generally cannot reasonably identify you.
3. How we share and disclose information
We may share information with service providers / processors as necessary to operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, AI inference, email delivery), and we will contractually require appropriate safeguards where applicable.
Examples include:
- Authentication providers: Apple, Google, and similar providers, depending on your sign-in method.
- Payments and subscriptions: Apple, PayPal, and other payment processors.
- AI and infrastructure: Cloud providers that support image recognition, compute, and storage.
We may also disclose information where required to:
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or governmental requests;
- Protect our rights, users, or the public, including investigating fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms.
4. International transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries outside your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms, depending on jurisdiction).
5. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. After account deletion or completion of a deletion request, we will delete or anonymize relevant information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records for legal compliance.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Access or correct your personal information;
- Delete your account or certain data (some information may need to be retained by law);
- Withdraw consent (where processing is consent-based, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing);
- Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable;

Uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete all data we hold on our servers. To delete account data, please use the in-app account deletion flow (if available) or contact us as described above.
7. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
8. Third-party services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Sign-in and payment features are also subject to third-party terms.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please protect your credentials and do not share them with others.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the app or by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

1.4 AI 拍照辨識熱量與營養成分(重要說明)
- 當您使用 AI 拍照辨識 功能時,您拍攝的 食物照片(或您從相簿選取之照片)可能上傳至我們的伺服器,或由受我們委託之 AI/雲端服務提供者 進行處理,以產生 熱量與營養成分等估算結果。

九、安全性
我們採取合理之技術與管理措施保護您的資料,惟任何系統均無法保證絕對安全。請妥善保管帳戶憑證,避免向他人揭露。
